In 1971 Jerry Williams founded Williams Reproductions LTD. by producing reproductions of Prewar Tinplate Trains.

In the late 1970's the company started making Post-War O gauge replicas starting with the GG-1, and FM trainmaster.

During the 1980's the demand for scale sized locomotives increased dramatically. In response to this demand, Williams created the Crown Edition Line. These models were nicely detailed handmade brass scale models produced as limited-editions. Some of the models built for the first time in 3-rail O gauge were: The PRR K-4, NYC Niagara, Norfolk & Western J-Class, and Southern Pacific Cab Forward.

As the 1980's came to an end and the US economy went into a recession, the demand for expensive scale models declined, and Williams focused on more economical to produce diesel models.

From the late 1980's to present Williams has offered a little of both. Our Golden Memories Series are replicas of Lionel* Postwar trains. Our Traditional Line has a huge variety of roadnames to choose from.

In October of 2007 Jerry Williams sold the assets of the company to Bachmann Industries click here to read the press release
